// Partner

James began Strut NYC in 2001, following many years in various creative roles – most recently as creative director – at boutique design and annual report agencies in both New York, NY and San Francisco, CA. Along with his brother Anthony, he is the co-founder of BrooklynArtProject.com.

He studied graphic design at Parsons School of Design and is both a photographer and painter, among many other mediums. He has also studied under American painter, Graham Nickson, at the New York Studio School, in addition to participating in various painting and drawing courses at The New School and other venues throughout New York. When he breaks from the business of Strut, James focuses on his developing his creative pursuits through art exhibits and commissions.

James’ work has been featured in “How Magazine Graphic Design: USA” and “Communication Arts.” In 1998, the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) mounted the “Touch” exhibition, including 29 of the industry’s most notable and notorious designers and artists, which included James’ work

Anthony is an award-winning web strategist who has worked with leading consumer brands like Staples, Monster.com, Procter and Gamble, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Kraft, Gevalia, L’Oreal, VeriSign and several AMLaw 100 law firms across the U.S.

Along with being a Partner at Strut NYC, Anthony is also the Co-Founder of BrooklynArtProject.com, a fast growing social network of 6,500+ creatives from 140+ countries that he and his brother James launched in 2007.

With a passion for innovation, Anthony works with senior marketing executives and entrepreneurs to develop and implement web strategies with a focus on social media.

He’s written respected white papers on innovation through opinion leadership and interactive strategy for consumer packaged goods brands that were selected for presentation at industry marketing conferences including IIR, CASRO, and the ARF.

These early studies in 2002 heralded the power of web as a tool to build relationships with customers, fuel word-of-mouth, and collaborate on product development to foster innovation years before these notions shaped what is now social media.

John Lunceford

A brother from a different mother.  John is a self-taught professional artist & designer currently living in Brooklyn New York with his wife and three kids.  He’s a technology veteran whom over the past 20 years, has worked in various capacities from CAD/CAM design, system & network architecture, business development, and media strategy.    John’s ability to couple technology, information, graphic design, and business requirements to enhance the human experience is his niche and an asset to Strut’s clients.

John is an involved community member in Brooklyn.   He’s a champion of art & design in education and regularly works with organizations that promote exploration, innovation, and social responsibility.

John’s industrial photography has been shown around NYC and he continues to study light and composition through photography.  Additionally his sculptural creations and furnishings grace homes around the US and can be seen in a personal portfolio at www.exoticforms.com.
